Financial spead betting is not for the faint hearted. You will need to be a go getter who knows what you want and be willing to accept the results of your decisions, whatever the outcome may be. Financial spread betting is a high risk, high reward betting system.
It gives you access to the worlds major financial markets and has a vast array of applications for investors to choose from. It allows you to bet on the price movement of shares, stock indicators, currencies and commodities.
A good thing about a financial spread betting system is, that because your transaction is a bet your profits in the U.K will be tax free.
A Financial Spread Betting System
It is a betting system which allows the investor to place a bet on the price given for a certain financial instrument. If they believe that its value will go up or come down in value. The profit or loss for the spread better is therefore determined by the price at which they sell.
Spread betting is like taking a leap of faith where you do not know what your profit or losses will be until after the result. You have to be bold and dare to be different, in order to be a successful spread better.
You must be willing to buy a share even if the brokers sometimes think you should sell. So if you are correct in your prediction you can make a lot of money. However if you are wrong, well you stand to lose alot. Therefore it is important not to go blindly into trading. As it’s a sure way to loss big.

There are many things in life that often have more than one name. Take a trading platform and a trading system for instance. They are two seemingly different things. A platform does not seem to have anything in common with a system at a first glance. A closer look will reveal that these two are in fact one and the same. It is simply that traders on the stock exchange prefer to use the word platform.
Spread betters on the other hand speak of a trading system. Now, you also get to complete opposite of this situation where people presume that two dissimilar names mean exactly the same. It is like that with spread betting and gambling.
So near and yet so far
Spread betting and gambling are often presumed to be exactly the same thing. This is not entirely, if at all, true. Spread betting is often seen as a glorified form of gambling. Spread betting is similar to gambling in that it involves a huge risk in order to stand a chance at gaining profits. The fundamental difference comes in that gambling involves set odds while the odds the spread better is running are so to say unlimited.
That is the very waif-like divide between gambling and spread betting. Spread betting is also nothing like trading on the stock exchanges or markets. Yet it functions on those very markets and exchanges. Spread betting is neither of this pie nor of that, it is actually something entirely on its own and functions within its own specific niche and has carved out its own place in the industry.

Spread betting is not a difficult concept to wrap your mind around. Contrary to popular belief, the explanation does not have to be complicated. In very simply terms; spread betting involves placing a bet on the rising or dropping of the value of something. The rising or dropping of value is called a spread. So now we get to the most important aspect of the spread betting process, understanding the spread.
A spread is more than just what you do to butter on bread
Spread betting has it’s origins in sports. Humble as they are the sports origins are sometimes the easiest ways to explain the spread. Betting is an easy concept, but no bookies would want to take bets if it was as simple as choosing which team would win. No, that would be far too easy. The winning team will have a victory lead of a certain number of points over the other team. Fans will then bet on the number of points a team will win or lose by. So if Manchester and Chelsea were to play football against each other bets would be placed as follows.
If Chelsea was the favoured team to win, bets would be placed according to how many points they would win the game by. For instance a bet would be placed that Chelsea would win by more then 7 points. This concept then transferred to the stock markets and exchanges.
Spread betting here means that you bet on how much something will cost at a set time. Or it could mean that you place you bet on the spread of how much a currency with strengthen or weaken. Sports spread betting or financial spread betting, it is all very exciting and profitable.

There is a lovely saying that tells us that all we need is love. In personal relationships, this can prove to be some great advice. But when it comes to other relationships that might not be the best advice to follow. The most important spread betting relationship you will ever have is with your betting broker. This relationship needs to be rock solid in order for the two of you to have a long and illustrious spread betting career together.
Through thick and thin
When it comes to your money it is completely within your right to be picky and choose carefully about who takes over the reins. This is complicated by all those fly by night brokers out there who want nothing more than to make a quick buck out of you. Steer well clear of these relationship breakers. Your relationship with your broker needs to be firmly rooted on a solid foundation of good, old-fashioned trust.
Trust will have the two of you seeing eye to eye about most things. You won’t feel the need to second guess your broker’s every move. You can set your mind at ease that your money is in good hands. Your broker is human too; not all their decisions are going to bring jackpot profits knocking on your door.
If you have a trusting relationship with your broker the two of you will be able to comfortably weather the bad times and celebrate the good ones. Trust is all important in this relationship because without it the relationship is doomed.

You may have heard of spread betting by now, or you may not. Chances are that if you know about trading online on the markets, then you will know about spread betting too. If you have stepped into the world of trading you will also know that the language is difficult. The unloving lingo of the trading world might mean that you find yourself submerged in terminology and phrases that leave you with your nose in a dictionary.
Unfortunately that is how it goes with many things in this world. For this simple reason it can prove to be a challenge to understand a spread betting explanation properly.
Spreading your bets
Spread betting is really very simple to understand. You place bets on what is called a spread. Now, a spread is based on the value of something, currency for instance. The spread is how high or how low the value of the currency goes. What happens in spread betting is that you bet on how high or how low that value will go in a set time period.
Placing a spread bet on the Pound (£) against the US Dollar ($) means that you will either bet that the value of the pound will drop or strengthen by a set amount. Easy enough to understand, but it takes time to master.
As with all types of betting and financial trading, spread betting is a gamble. There is a lot of money to be made in spread betting, but if you are not clued up, you have a lot to lose.
